American Honda Reports Record Sales in June

07/01/2008 - TORRANCE, Calif. -
American Honda Motor Co., Inc., today announced total June sales of 142,539, up 13.8 percent on a daily-selling-rate basis(1), setting a new record for the month. Reflecting a shifting automotive marketplace, total car sales set a new June record for the first time since 1990 at 97,639, up 34.2 percent versus last year. Year-to-date American Honda sales are up 4.8 percent to 798,358.
“Staying true to our core values is allowing Honda to weather the storm of rising gas prices and help consumers find shelter in our products,” said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda. “Our factories are doing everything they can to produce the fuel-efficient models consumers are desperately in need of.”
Honda Division sales rose 17.9 percent over last year to a new June record of 130,083, driven by record car sales which increased 41.4 percent to 89,947. The fuel-efficient Fit posted its best month ever with sales of 10,003, up 100.5 percent, while Civic hit a new June record, up 23.1 percent to 39,967, and Accord rose 54.5 percent to 39,704. Honda Division light-truck sales of 40,136 reflect a decrease of 14.2 percent. Honda Division sales are up 7.4 percent to 720,444, year-to-date.
Acura Division sales totaled 12,456. Sales of the completely redesigned 2009 TSX sports sedan increased 27.5 percent and set a new June record of 3,869.
(1) All percentages in this release reflect the daily selling rate as calculated with 24 days for June 2008, versus 27 for 2007. Year to date, the daily selling rate is calculated with 153 days for 2008, versus 154 for 2007.

Just letting everyone know what we have and are getting in:
For 2008 Fits: On the lot right now are Sport Manuals in the Blackberry, Orange, and Tidewater Colors as well as Fit Base Manuals in Tidewater and Black.UPDATE____ALL OF THESE ARE SOLD NOW…..BUT WE HAVE MANY OTHERS COMING IN IN OTHER COLORS!!!!
We have a LOT of these coming in most any Trim and Color over the next 2 days to 3 weeks…so contact me about what you want compared to what we have, and we shall get one saved for you!
For 2008 Civics: I am VERY low in almost every trim of 2 and 4 door civics…so deposits are a must here especailly if you want a particular color. I done have some Demo models though that are ready to sell.
For 2008 Civic Hybrids….none on the lot other than what are presold units…however I have many coming in the are available to place a deposit on.
I have Certified Used of all three of the above…Fits / Civic’s / Civic Hybrids…so if you are interested in one that is Newly Used…let me know and Ill price them out too.

Hello again to everyone!
June is shaping up to be another great month here…and I wanted to update everyone with what is currently going on as well as things to keep in mind about certain vehicles you may be interested in.
For starters….lets talk about Fit’s / Civic’s and Civic Hybrids:
These are getting to the point where being able to purchase one in a Specific Color and Trim comes down to wether or not you have a deposit one one you want.
Overall supply is no where near the demand, and if you are looking to get one in the next few months, put a deposit on one that matches what you want so that you get first dibbs so to speak once it arrives.
(Deposits here are 250.00 and are fully refundable and transferrable)
For the 2008 Accords….we still have many of them in different colors and Trim Levels….but considering the fact many people are purchasing them INSTEAD of one the Civic / Fit / Civic Hybrid’s…inventory is slowly getting less and less on them as well.
We have some pretty awesome things going on in the way of discounts on the 08 Accord…so let me know if you want specifics for Pricing and availability on one.
For the Truck Lines - 2008 Ridgelines / CRV’s / Odyssey’s / Element’s and 2008 / 2009 Pilots:
I really cant stress it enough how good of a time to get one of these is right now…as Im sure anyone can imagine.
With Incentives combined with Special APR Rates, there is only so good a Situation can get…..and right now it has to be one of the better Situations I have seen….so same here when it come to info…just call or email me!

I just wanted to let you guys and gals know that we have been fortunate enough to get in 6 Certified Used Civic Hybrids….and they will be ready to buy within the next day or so.
The details of the ones I have are as follows:
(1) 2007 Model (White) with 49,301 Miles
Selling for 20,900.00 (OTD Of 22,438.45)
(5) 2006 Models (Silver) with between 49,200 and 54,200 miles …selling for 19,990.00 (OTD of 21,469.26 )

As of right now, if you are interested in any of the Following models:
2008 Civics (all of them not just Hybrids) / 2008 Fit’s (All trims) / 2008 Pilots / 2008 Ridgelines / 2008 Odysseys / 2008 Accords (all trims)
Right now is the time to buy! With the APR Specials combined with the Pricing of these Models, I have not seen a better situation than now to purchase one…
For the Civics and Fits, get your deposit down now….availability of these will be less and less as gas prices continue to rise and more and more people are looking to trade their larger less economical vehicles.
There has even been some talk as to the fact we as Dealers may not have enough supply of any civic model to last through until the 2009’s are out!

We are focusing heavily on Accords right now….especially through this weekend….and this is for ALL Models and Trims of them…
The best thing to do is Call or Email me with what exactly it is you are looking for, in Color / Trim / 2 or 4 doors / Manual or Auto….so that way I can provide you with actual Drive Out pricing and Availability.
What we have currently going on is the best deals I have been able to offer on the Accords since they have been released, so dont take my words lightly…especailly in all 4 Cylinder models…from the LX to the EXL Navi’s!
