| About the Edmunds.com Premier Dealer Program |
 |
Each car dealership that is presented as a Premier Dealer on Edmunds.com has agreed to a list of specific, detailed customer service commitments, which includes the following:
- To employ a fully trained Internet Department that is familiar with the Edmunds.com website.
- To use its best efforts to directly contact Edmunds customers through the customer’s preferred method of contact listed in the lead, which is either by phone or e-mail; and to initiate that contact within two business hours, on average, and in no event later than four business hours of receiving each customer’s referral.
- To provide the “best price” on the first contact with the customer. (”Best price” means the lowest price at which the dealer will sell a specific available vehicle that day.)
- To inform the customer of the status (i.e., orderable, locatable, in stock) of the requested vehicle in a clear, honest fashion, and to provide a stock number if the vehicle is currently available.
- To locate and “dealer trade” or “factory order” a vehicle in accordance with the consumer’s request, in the event the preferred vehicle is not in dealer stock.
- To offer to complete, in advance of the customer’s arrival to pick up the vehicle, as many aspects of the vehicle sale as possible and as the customer desires.
- To respond to all customer questions in a prompt and honest manner.
- To not resell or transfer to another dealer any customer referred to that dealer by Edmunds.
Edmunds.com cannot assure you that each Premier Dealer will comply with these commitments with respect to each consumer referred to it by Edmunds.com.

Flat Towing CR-V 2WD and 4WD Models
CR-V 2WD and 4WD models can be flat towed (towed with all four wheels on the ground) at legal highway speeds up to 65 mph. To avoid damage to the 4WD system, 4WD models MUST be flat towed. Do not exceed 65 mph when towing, otherwise severe automatic transmission damage will occur.
Perform the following procedure for both 2WD and 4WD models every day immediately before you begin towing otherwise severe automatic transmission damage will occur:
Check the transmission fluid level. Do not overfill.
Start the engine.
Press on the brake pedal. Move the shift level through all its positions.
Shift to Drive (D), then to Neutral (N). Let the engine run for three (3) minutes, then turn it off. (Note: Severe transmission damage will occur if the vehicle is shifted from Reverse (R) to Neutral (N) and then towed with the drive wheels on the ground.)
Release the parking brake.
Leave the ignition switch in the ACCESSORY (l) position so the steering wheel does not lock. Make sure the steering wheel turns freely before you begin towing. Also make sure the radio and any accessory items plugged into the accessory power sockets are turned off so you do not run down the battery.
If you tow for more than 8 hours in one day, you should repeat the above procedure at least every 8 hours (when you stop for fuel, etc.).
When you stop towing your vehicle and shift out of the Neutral (N) position, you may not be able to move the shift lever from Neutral (N) to Reverse (R) or Park (P). If this happens, press the brake pedal and turn the ignition switch to the ON (ll) position, then shift out of Neutral (N).
For more information, refer to the CR-V Owner’s Manual.

Well folks,I finally pulled the trigger and brought home today a shiny new 07 SE off the truck with only 6 miles on it. In Graphite Pearl (wife chose the color………..she loves it).
Thanks Cbond for the help and please tell Steve the business manager (with over 20 years of experience in the lease field HE is the YODA!!! Tell Frank he is now demoted to Obi 1).
Seriously folks, my wife and I really enjoyed the experience. My wife really enjoyed the Starbucks coffee (not the cheap stuff).
Without sounding like a cheesy commercial give Cbond a try or at least let him check out your numbers given to you to see if they are legit. For example,a $500 Doc fee is pure profit for the dealer………Cbond will sniff that out and give you the low down.
Again be realistic, GM,Ford and Chrysler are the ones giving their cars away with outrageous rebates Toy, and Honda are not. Whatever price you get for invoice or below consider a blessing.
Gotta go and finish putting on this 2nd layer of Carnuba wax….just kidding…..Thanks again Cbond, will tell everybody in the Cental Texas area about Gunn Honda.

Well, nearly perfect. The only thing that could have made it better is for his dealer to have been in the Houston area.
I purcahsed a 2007 Rio Yellow S2000 from Chris on 11/8, after corroesponding with him on 11/4 about the vehicle. Little to Chris’s knowledge, I hadn’t been very serious about buying the car, I was just getting pricing to convince me I couldn’t afford it, I set my upper bound price well below MSRP, and Chris came in right below that right off the bat. The One Simple Price policy they have is great for a buyer, and enables them to quote true pricing over the internet or phone without the hassle of “come see us” that you normally get from any other dealer.
The transaction through Chris went flawlessly, and I now have the beautiful S2000 sitting in my garage, like I’ve been wanting for 7 years now.
Thanks Chris & Gunn Honda!

February 13th, 2007
On February 10 our family traveled to San Antonio in our trusty 1997 Honda Accord EX Wagon and returned to Austin in a shiny silver pearl 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL minivan. The wagon had served us well and even with over 110K miles on it was the most reliable car in our fleet, with the coldest air conditioner in the summertime. But as we came to need more room to carry flocks of Brownie Scouts and parents-in-law it became clear that the wagon’s 5 passenger limit was not enough.
After shopping Odyssey prices across Honda dealers in Austin, Round Rock, Killeen, and San Antonio it was clear that the best deal to be found was at Gunn Honda. We’ve always been loyal customers of First Texas Honda in Austin, but a $2K difference in price/trade-in was impossible to keep me from driving to San Antonio. I found the Honda Odyssey Prices Paid & Buying Experiences forum at Edmunds.com invaluable for learning about the best deals available.
Rayma and Alison both shed tears when we turned over the keys to our wagon, but both are growing to like the Odyssey. Alison is especially fond of the built in DVD player. Rayma likes the multizone climate control.
Right now I can’t think of a car I would like more than my MINI Cooper S, but I certainly am eager to see what the 2008 Honda Accord looks like when it finally debuts later this year. I told our great salesperson at Gunn that I might be back sooner than planned if it proves irresistible; he promised to provide a full report as soon as the new Accords arrive since he is as excited as I am about the changes. I really enjoyed working with him and think his low-key approach with speedy responses to any questions I sent via email is the way of the future for automobile sales.
